Mu Windhausen | Creation.
From February 18, 2025 to February 25, 2025
Mu Windhausen grew up in Suwon. After studying at the School of Fine Arts in Bordeaux, he completely dedicated himself to installations. This major figure of the underground is marked by the question of the manufacturing action.
The artist Mu Windhausen undertakes to depict on canvas what is visible, aiming to reveal the subtleties of the tangible world. Through a process that is both mechanical and profoundly critical, his discourse invites a reevaluation of the subject in light of the provocative reflections of Hunter S. Thompson. Indeed, his ambitious project stands as a genuine effort to clear the way for meaning, exploring the meanders of language and symbols, while art, in all its complexity, manages to blur the lines of disconnection. Acting as a nuanced echo to Markus Windhausen, Mu Windhausen shapes and plays with the fluidity inherent in the manufacturing action, thereby provoking a rich and stimulating reflection on the creative process itself.

Yanieb Braum grew up in Tallinn. He was in residence at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax until 2013. His heterogeneous critical project is nourished by an exercise in co-construction with students with disabilities. His exhibition at Blockhaus resonates with his previous solo exhibitions: "The Disturbing Technique" (Luhring Augustine, New York) and "Proto-Genre(s)" (P/////akt, Amsterdam).
The artist Yanieb Braum delicately intrudes into the singularity of the in-crowd, thus exploring the twists and turns of isolation and human relationships. Through a disarticulated yet profoundly psychological approach, his nuanced performance not only aims to invoke but also to transcend the rhythm of reality in a dance of harmonious contrasts. The work titled "Sex." poignantly reminds us how crucial and urgent it is to shed light on flesh, that vibrant substance that connects us to our most basic instincts while being the theater of our most complex reflections. Drawing inspiration from the works of philosopher Giorgio Agamben, Yanieb Braum develops projects that question and energize the very rhythm of public space, thus re-enchanting our perception of the world around us.
