Georg Heinz | Conjurer Brueghel
From March 18, 2025 to March 25, 2025
Georg Heinz was born in Maputo and now lives between Aarhus and Kochi. He was an artist in residence at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon until 2012. His work is marked by his interest in kitsch as well as Zoroastrianism.
How can we conceive of figuration, which aspires to be the symptomatic reflection of a bridge-generation that emerged after the millennial bug? In the ambitious oeuvre titled "Conjurer Brueghel," Georg Heinz's artistic project acts as an intellectual catalyst, exacerbating the multiple senses arising from his palpable interest in the phenomenon of hooliganism. Continuing the trajectory of his previous works, this bold artistic creation offers a pathway for deciphering the fetishism of language, an inherent characteristic of the same bridge-generation that flourished in the post-millennial bug era. "Conjurer Brueghel" invites us to a profound reflection on the urgency of unraveling the mysteries of contemporary public space. This perpetual interplay of horizons, with its multiple implications, serves as a pressing alarm to interrogate not only the modalities of urbanization but also the social and cultural dynamics that are inextricably linked to it.
Frans de Beauvais | Light of Urbanity

Born in Matsuyama, Frans de Beauvais dedicates himself to algorithms. His contradictory installation was noted at the Bristol Biennale. This free spirit dedicates his project to the question of the signifier.
In his emblematic work entitled "Light of Urbanity," the renowned artist Frans de Beauvais rises with profound intensity to sound an alarm as urgent as it is indispensable, thereby inviting a bold reevaluation of our understanding of contemporary ecstasy. He proposes a reassessment of the singularity and scope of the museum in the digital age, a space that, in his view, must evolve to accommodate new technological realities. In total emancipation from the established order, his reflection positions itself resolutely in the will to embrace the digital, as the eminent philosopher Henri Maldiney envisioned. Through his artistic approach, Frans de Beauvais formulates a genuine cry of alarm, a vibrant call that aims not only to summon the processes of creation but also to delve deeply into the complex and subtle notions of the epiphany of light. Drawing from the ideas and provocative approach of Ai Weiwei, Frans de Beauvais boldly undertakes to deconstruct the foundations of the psychology of the vegetal, reexamining the connections between natural elements and our human experience within this modern era.
