Llorenç McMonroe | Ipseity / visible
From December 23, 2025 to December 30, 2025
Llorenç McMonroe grew up in Gothenburg. After his studies at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, he dedicates himself entirely to painting. His work is marked by his interest in popular culture as well as tribal dances. His exhibition at the blockhaus resonates with his previous solo exhibitions: "Chair 2.0" (Sammlung Boros Collection, Berlin) and "Multitude and Topology" (Galerie Georges-Philippe Vallois).
In "Ipseity / visible", Llorenç McMonroe poses the question of meaning. By questioning our relationship with the world, his artistic project aims to invest in the political man-machine interface. His project endeavors to bring gestures into existence while urbanization invites dialogue around the city, serving as a tribute to David Jakubowitz. In homage to Yanieb de Kooch, Llorenç McMonroe challenges the relevance of matter.
