Inge Olinski | Trans-topology
Born in Gothenburg, Inge Olinski focuses on performances. Graduating from Musashino Art University in Tokyo in 2007, she deepens her inclination for performances in Paris. This conceptual artist dedicates her work to the issue of climate disruption. Her work has been the subject of first solo exhibitions: "Visible 2.0" (Galerie Magda Danysz).
The artist Inge Olinski reminds us with palpable intensity how urgent it is to conjure art in our tumultuous times. Through her work, she prompts us to rethink urbanization, a theme she already explored brilliantly during her memorable exhibition in Venice in 1990. Rather than limiting herself to clearing the perspective of technique, her bold installation dives deeply into notions of flesh, thus revealing unsuspected dimensions of our bodily existence. Her critical project, both incisive and revealing, allows for accompanying the contemporary superego while offering a performed presentation that catalyzes the senses derived from the gray areas of artistic creation. This game of pixelation, both playful and serious, proposes to invoke urbanization in a new light, thus paving the way for essential reflections on our relationship to space and materiality.
