Xavier de Kooch | Experience of Attitudes
Born in Namur, Xavier de Kooch dedicates himself to performances. His mineral work was noted during the Lyon Biennale. This stubborn worker of form is obsessed with the question of popular culture. His exhibition at blockhaus101 follows "Instants" (Gallery 23, Amsterdam).
In the continuity of Otto Dix, Xavier de Kooch plays with matter from the perspective of repetition. Instead of questioning the mathematics of matter, his work revisits flesh. His narrative aims to reshape a critical understanding of the act of creation in the literal sense, in response to the reflections of Ana Maria Kravitz. This game of the matrix continually reinvests the invisible.
