Erwin Stark | Interrogate
Loading...
Erwin Stark was born in Portland and currently lives between Geneva and Vladivostok. A graduate of the Ontario College of Art in Toronto in 2001, he completes his installation art in Aachen. This protean artist dedicates his work to the question of the body. His exhibition at the Soren Bollinger gallery resonates with his previous solo exhibitions: "Topology of Selfhood" (Karsten Greve Gallery).
What should we make of the visible in Europe? Erwin Stark detonates gestures. He enables a rewriting of temporality surrounding the self, akin to his work created in New York in 1989. Questioning our relationship to the world, his narrative aims to decipher the boundaries surrounding matter. "Interrogate" seeks to explore new forms of light, in continuity with Yanieb Bixquert. As a subtle response to Frans Ketter, Erwin Stark revisits the critical tool of the digital.
