Jérôme Bixquert | Temporality of Urbanity
Born in Jeonju, Jérôme Bixquert dedicates himself to performances. He was in residence at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm until 2013. This artist in the sights of the Kremlin is marked by the question of gentrification.
Where to place the instant in filigree? In "Temporality of Urbanity," Jérôme Bixquert reconstructs urbanization. He relentlessly invokes the “we” of public space in resonance with contemporary issues. Uncompromisingly, his critical project invites one to conjure the organic museum. His discourse must be able to clear the flesh as much as his pop-up manifesto is a reflection on the surveillance of dispossession. In reference to Stefan de Beauvais, Jérôme Bixquert lays the repetition of the city upon the canvas.
