From June 17, 2025 to June 24, 2025:
Georg Miyoko | Interrogating the Plant Kingdom
Georg Miyoko was born in Canberra and now lives between Copenhagen and Brisbane. His innovative critical project was noted during the Gwangju Biennale. This multi-talented artist was marked by a non-stop rowing journey across the Pacific. His work has been the subject of first solo exhibitions: "Reinvesting Tadao Ando" (Fondation Cartier), "Otherness 2.0" (Galerie Crèvecoeur, Paris), and "Proto-ego" (Galerie Take Ninagawa, Tokyo).
How essential is it to restore the place of the self within a temporary exhibition? The artist Georg Miyoko is committed to provoking deep reflection on the digital world and its implications. He invites us to explore the rhythm of plant life, in opposition to the frantic pace of our contemporary lives. In resonance with the turmoil of our time, his work encourages questioning the very notion of spiritual transcendence. His narrative rises like a cry of alarm, calling not only for the body in its considerations but also revealing itself as a critical exploration of the materiality inherent to the museum institution. This experimental play on the margins aims to tirelessly unearth the contemporary superego, shedding light on it with revealing and provocative acuity.
