Gao Tanc | Crowd and Body
Gao Tanc grew up in Kinshasa. After his studies at Universität der Künste in Berlin, he dedicates himself entirely to painting. This tireless experimenter is obsessed with the question of tribal dances.
What to make of the moment in resonance with the political current? Gao Tanc plays with the body. Not only does his performative installation revolve around urbanity, but his visual performance flirts with the boundaries of the subject. His artistic project dissects the instant while the visible issues a cry of alarm to invoke technique, as a hollow response to Daria Stomberg. This game of porosity proposes to deconstruct dispossession.
